CATAPULT MAKE KEY APPOINTMENT
Catapult Venture Managers, the Leicestershire based venture capital firm has promoted Jonathan Earl to the position of Investment Director.
Jonathan, (31), joined Catapult, which manages £80m over three funds, as Investment Manager, in January 2006 having previously worked with KPMG throughout the Midlands and Lloyds Pharmacy in Coventry.
In his new position, he will have responsibility for new investments and for managing existing ones. He commented: “This is an exciting time to be with Catapult. We added a third fund – the £30m Catapult Growth Fund - under our management in January last year and the business is going from strength to strength. This allows us to invest up to £2m of equity in a business. Our preferred sectors – healthcare, medical devices, environmental and support services – are currently very buoyant and providing some excellent investment opportunities.”
Catapult Managing Director Rob Carroll commented: “Since joining us Jon has been a great asset to the business and this is a well deserved promotion.”
Jonathan, who is married, lives in Thorpe Astley, Leicestershire and lists among his hobbies sports (both playing and watching) and overseas travel.
