MIKE QUINN OF TENON PLACED ON ‘SECONDMENT’
TO CATAPULT VENTURE MANAGERS
Michael Quinn of Tenon is being seconded to the East Midlands office of Catapult Venture Managers from July 2007 in a move to broaden his private equity experience.
Mike, a senior manager with Tenon Corporate Finance in Nottingham, will spend approximately nine months with Catapult working on new business and have a portfolio of companies to look after.
Rob Carroll, managing director of Catapult Venture Managers, commented: “Secondments are useful for both sides. We have known Mike for a while so, when he expressed a wish to gain experience in venture capital, we were delighted to welcome someone of his experience to join us on secondment.”
Mike Quinn added: “Joining Catapult will add a further dimension to my corporate finance experience, so on my return to Tenon I will have new found knowledge and experience to bring to the lead advisory role. Hopefully, I can also add skills to the Catapult team during the nine months and I very much look forward to joining them.”
The secondment was made possible through the close ‘ties’ that both businesses share. Neil Gray, director and head of corporate finance at Tenon in the Midlands, commented: “We have a very good relationship with Catapult. I sit on the Advisory Committee of the East Midlands Regional Venture Capital Fund (EMRVCF) which is managed by them.
“Mike is someone that we want to see develop his career and this is an obvious great opportunity for him. We look forward to welcoming him back with another string to his bow in the spring of 2008.”
