Catapult Growth Fund.
The Catapult Growth Fund is a £30m venture capital fund established in 2007 to provide capital for expanding businesses.
Investors in the fund include Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform and local authority pension funds
The Fund: £30m
Investment amount: £500k to £2m total initial equity requirement
Stage focus: All revenue generating businesses from early-stage through to development capital, including MBO’s and MBI’s.
Sector focus: Generalist approach but with innovative growth sectors favoured, including technology, healthcare, medical devices, environment and support services.
Geographical focus: National
Investment structure: The majority of investments will involve a mixture of equity and loans.
Added-value: Catapult has extensive experience of working with growing businesses and seeks to add value to investee companies through the introduction of experienced and relevant non-executive directors to the investee company board.
Exit: Exits from investments are normally expected within a 5 year time frame.
